Citizens Advice Bureau Bath & North East Somerset is an independent charity that provides free, impartial advice and information on a range of issues. We can help with most everyday problems from employment to housing and debt. Before using our service we would encourage you to visit our national website www.adviceguide.org.uk where you will find information about all the main areas of advice including: Benefits, Debt, Housing, Employment, Consumer, Family, etc.

If you still need information or advice, and you live in B&NES, you can attend a ‘drop-in’ at our offices in Keynsham, Bath or Midsomer Norton. A gateway assessment is a short interview that explores your enquiry and assesses what your advice needs are. The assessment may conclude that you require specialist advice, another agency is better suited to help you, or you need assisted self help. You can have a gateway assessment at:

Pensionwise is a government service starting in April 2015 for people aged 55+ with certain types of pension pot, who want to find out more about the options open to them when they retire. If you qualify, you can arrange an appointment for this service through your Citizens Advice Bureau. For further information  see https://www.pensionwise.gov.uk/
